Today’s Miracle Moment Is About Being At Home Wherever You Are…
Have you ever been around someone who seems to feel so comfortable in their skin and relaxed wherever they are? Would you like to also have that experience of feeling like wherever you go in the world, you’re at home, no matter what?
I (Marci) have had the honor of knowing some amazing people in this world, and one of them is a woman named Jody Williams. Jody is a Nobel Peace Prize winner who won the award for her work in helping ban landmines around the world.
Jody is friends with extraordinary visionaries on the planet, including His Holiness, the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. One day, when I was having lunch with Jody, I asked her, “Do you ever feel intimidated when you’re with any of the world-renowned leaders and visionaries that you meet?”
Jody answered, “No, I’m just myself, wherever I am. And if people like me, they like me. And if they don’t like me, they don’t like me.” Jody is at home within herself and wherever she is, she is comfortable.
The experience of being so comfortable in your own skin is available for all of us.
Dr. Sue is a great example of someone who feels this way too. Here’s what Dr. Sue shares about this:
About 20 years ago, I had an amazing opening in my consciousness that started me on a totally different path in my life. I awakened to this really high state of consciousness and I was me, but I wasn’t in a body and I was also completely at home.
Through this experience, I was no longer able to reference life the way that I used to, because clearly things were very different than I had ever thought they were. And yet, there was a deep sense of wellbeing and a complete sense of fulfillment. There was nowhere to go, nothing to accomplish, and nothing to become. There was nothing broken, nothing wrong, and nothing to be fixed.
The true state of all of us is the vibrational frequency of peace.
Since that experience, I’ve recognized that I am this eternal presence–and so are you and everyone on the planet. The more we identify as that presence, the more comfortable we become in life, no matter where we are and no matter what’s happening,
Underneath the limited personality that struggles to make things unfold in a certain way, there’s another version of ourselves that’s deep in our heart. The more we breathe low in our bellies, the more we can access that deeper sense of self.
By slowing our breath down, it slows the mind down too. And then the mind stops writing all those stories that make us so uncomfortable.
Home is literally where we are. The universe is within our bodies. It’s important to remember that all the time so we can share our deepest self with each other and live the life that we came here to live.
Here’s a practice for being at home wherever you are:
- First, think of a situation that you may not be particularly comfortable in. Maybe it’s a situation that intimidates you or that you feel afraid of in some way. Imagine what it would feel like to feel at home in that situation.
- Then, breathe deeply in your belly and anchor yourself in your own body. Know that you get to be home right here in your body.
Feeling at home is really part of living in the Miracles Zone.

I suffer with severe anxiety and struggle going out and to supermarkets. The anxiety is overwhekming and difficult to manage and cope with on a daily basis.
Lisa – I suffer from anxiety as well – I have found great support using the free DARE RESPONSE app as well as reading the book. It may change your life. It has helped me tremendously. Lots of love to you!
Thank you for your messages. Where can i get the free DARE RESPONSE app please.
Sending you live and light Sue.
It may be helpful to send love and peace to yourself by calling in support from your higher self before you go into the supermarket. You can resource yourself within your body Before u step into the energy that as a default pattern triggers you
We hear you, Lisa, and we see you standing strong and in peace with yourself and your surroundings. We hope you will read some of our articles on breathwork and meditations and these can assist you. Blessings to you.
I worked in the construction industry and worked in 22 countries from Japan to Venezuela. Each place had a different culture and people and I always felt at home.
Apart from Saudi Arabia because of the control and lack of freedom. But that in itself was a different experience.
I am so happy to hear that you were in Venezuela, I am from Venezuela and I hope you felt at home there and my people made you feel loved and secured.
Alice

I was feeling “at home in my body” on my early morning walk in the city’s Central Park, so it was affirming to read this. I had a desire to connect simply, with a smile, with everyone I met. When I do this, the pile of problems and work awaiting me recedes and I feel that I can accomplish anything I put my attention and intention on. The “healthy” decision to move first, be with nature, air, and other humans, and appreciation for what is (roses! pine trees!) brings inspiration I can then act upon. Thank you! Sheila
We always love your buoyant spirit, Sheila! You’re a true blessing.
Once I am comfortable with where ever am going and how am going it matters not to me what others might say.
Yes!
I have developed a new practice – I call it sharing a “warm lovely”. One springtime morning I noticed that I can identify a “happy feeling” inside myself and encourage it to grow and get bigger and expand until suddenly, It makes my face smile. When that happens I find someone to share it with.
The morning I discovered this was in the springtime and there was a recently returned Red-winged black bird sitting on a tree branch. When a redwing sings he reached his beak up into the air, puffs up the feathers of his breast and neck as he takes a deep breath and then lets a wondrous song burst into the ether. When he’s finished he lays his feathers down again into his normal sleek profile, lowers his head and gives kid of a finishing “cluck”. As I watched I thought to myself, “that bird is having a ‘warm lovely’ and sharing it with me.”
Since then I’ve noticed “warm lovelies” in all kinds of places and also sent then to lots of people, and birds, and insects, and animals and landscapes.
When I’m feeling “warm lovelies” I feel at home wherever I send them.
💕🌎💕🌍💕🌏💕

I LIVE like that everyday. I am like that every moment and everywhere. Do you want to get to know me. I am happy all the time in any circumstance
You’re a kindred spirit for sure! And we’re delighted to know you.
There is an inner confidence that I have found comes with age and experience. It is not a miracle just a way of being in the world
Age and experience is not to be underestimated. We love the what Maya Angelou said to Oprah Winfrey when she turned fifty, “Babe, the fifties are everything you’ve been meaning to be. It’s everything you thought you might do. This is it.”
I love the description of the redwing having a ‘warm lovely’ That gave me another ‘warm lovely’ and I fell a heart of gratitude for constant ‘warm lovely s every day.
Blessings to all you ‘warm lovely s. from Skye Isaac New Zealand
Many blessings to you too! Thank you for being here with us.
Years ago, when visiting France, my daughter’s dad and I, with backpacks over our shoulders, I felt I knew each direction to go in and felt entirely comfortable in Paris. Doing caregiving work/play, I make myself at home in each client’s environment and not only does it serve me, it serves everyone around me, who then feel the “permission” to feel comfortable in their own bones, as well.
That is the most wonderful gift to give those around you. Thank you for sharing, Ruthie. We feel your heart.
I seek out to find a connection wherever i journey to. It helps me feel at home wherever i am. When family, friends, clients or strangers visit my home, i try to make them feel at home, the world is my family.
We love how you put this. Truly. And glad to be part of your family.
Great stuff here! I love these short and sweet and valuable Miracle Moments with you ladies!
Dr Sue, just hearing your voice makes me begin to slow my breath down……
You just brought a smile to our faces! =)
Here is my secret to enjoying me and looking forward to every day with chronic enthusiasm. I practice the modern version of the Golden Rule: Love myself with the abundance that overflows to enrich my loved ones and humanity. It is hard to give away what you don’t own. I have wonderful conversations with myself 24/7; kick out shaming, blaming, and complaining. Go to http://www.peace.academy, “7plus2 Formula” to learn this skill. All content is guaranteed forever FREE and yours to share to make our world a safe home for our loved ones.
I understand this as a deep connection with authenticity, who I really am, not the personality or false self. Aligning with my authenticity always feels good, calm and filled with love and gratitude for this outer experience:)
I understand this as a deep connection to authenticity, being the deeper expression of who I really am(not the personality/false self outer being). This aligns me with gratitude for this experience:)
Thank you!
Beautifully put, Cristina!
Quite true. No worries when you know that God is in control.
When I think so, I get relaxation of mind.
Thanks Don.
For me I was so “unconscious” for the first 34 years of my life, then one day in 1986 I started to recall the traumatic events of my childhood. That was the start of my coming home as I went through the dark night of my soul. Once that amazing journey started there was no turning back. I thought of writing a book, but that was not my path. The title would have been “Is the Journey Worth It?’. This journey took me decades of soul searching, which I continue to do. At times I felt like my soul was dragging me through a tree knot hole sideways. For me it was the greatest journey I have ever taken – the journey to finding my true authentic self and living from that authentic self. Some days I’m more masterful than others, and I’m okay with that – for me the main thing is I keep moving forward into greater and greater levels of consciousness.
Thank you Marcie and Dr. Sue for all the Miracle Moments you bring to the world.
So lovely to see your beautiful smiles and the reminder that we are okay and at home wherever we are! Thank you so much for the inspiring content that you continually share with us! 🙂 It really helps to keep me going in joy and grace!
Hello Marci and Dr. Sue,
What an excellent Miracle Moment topic. Once traveling to Bali, I decided to visit the marketplace while my spouse rested after our long flight. When I returned, he asked me how I can be so at home somewhere you have never been before. Having traveled all over the world, I stay curious and look people in the eye, and sense their spirits within. That beautiful connection is the same no matter where you travel. I used to struggle to feel untethered having moved so much in my life as if I do not have a real home. Now, I tether within and know my home is inside me and a place I can rest my heart whenever I need to. Blessings.
I have lost My son my man and 3 other very close friends this year I feel so lost my mind never shuts off
Marci and Dr. Sue, the past two years have been miraculous in so many ways including bringing me unceasingly home to myself. Because of this work with both of you, I am increasingly able to be so present that it becomes pure Presence. All of this work is changing me forever and expanding me in ways I never thought were possible. Thank you for this message and being such a miraculous gift in my life. So much love and gratitude to both of you. Lora
Funny timing! I was just at this moment NOT feeling at home in my body. Sometimes my body registers energies or activations i don’t understand, like a 2nd or 3rd chakra contraction, and i can’t ID the source. Historically I throw chocolate (or worse) at the problem: unease-soothe. I was trying not to do that yet felt uncomfortable sitting with the unease. I like what Dr Sue said about feeling at home in the body regardless of what’s going on. That we came into these bodies to do what we’re here to do, experience what we’re here to experience. So instead of fearing the energy or trying to numb or push it away, i welcomed it, i went ahead and experienced it, and it felt like a warning from what i decided to call my Etheric Broadcasting System (:-)). Was it just a test (lol) or a ping from a loved one in distress—not even _my_ energy? To be at home in my body means making room for energies it doesn’t yet know how to process. Oddly enough, i feel better. I sent my daughter a love note in case the distress signal came from her. And thanked my body for its sophisticated communiqués I’m still trying to grok. Good timing, this talk!
Hello
What a wonderful and yet simple invitation to come home to ourselves. Singer and songwriter Sara Thomsen has a wonderful album (Song Like a Seed) featuring Rumi’s poem “Come, return to the root of the root of your Self”. I am singing this song to myself and it calls me back home …..into alignment.
Thank you, Marci and Dr. Sue for your beautiful ways of guiding us. I truly feel so transformed since I have been working with the two of you. Many blessings.
