You Are Enough

Today’s Miracle Moment is about how you are enough

So many of us struggle with believing that we are enough. We question if we’re good enough to go for our big goals, lovable enough to have the relationships we want, or capable enough to take a big leap of faith. In practically any area of life, we question our enoughness. Why is that?

For one thing, our culture is constantly pushing the idea that we’re not enough. We receive messages from advertising, entertainment, and even social media that leave us feeling we need to look different, dress different, or be different. Or if we purchase the latest fancy phone or new car, that we’ll be enough then.

If you’re a woman, chances are that you struggle with this even more than men. A study at Cornell University showed that men overestimate their abilities and performance, while women underestimate both. Meanwhile, in the study, their actual abilities and performance didn’t differ.

Women also struggle more frequently with feeling like an imposter. Another report showed that men apply for a job or promotion when they meet only 60% of the qualifications. However, women apply only if they meet 100% of them.

If we don’t actually believe we’re enough, we can fall into a very risky trap called The Perfectionist Trap. This usually leads to behaviors like being hypercritical of ourselves and others and beating ourselves up. This can leave us feeling completely stressed and overwhelmed.

Here’s the truth:

You are MORE than enough. In fact, it’s been said that the probability of your being born is about one in 400 trillion.

Your existence is a complete miracle by mathematical measures.

When you start feeling like you aren’t enough, try the following visualization and breathing practice:

  1. Imagine that there’s a channel running through you (because there is), and a funnel coming out the top of your head (because there is). That funnel connects with the entire universe!
  2. Feel a connection between the planetary circulation that’s constantly influencing the cells in your body and the star dust between the constellations out beyond our own planet system. Know that billions of bits of information are bombarding you every millisecond in the form of consciousness that is here for your interpretation. When you come into your body and open up all of this information, you’ll start to be able to operate as the filtering system that you’re designed to be.
  3. Take a big belly breath, inhale into the upper lobes of your lungs, inhale bigger than your body, and exhale in every direction. Then do it again. Inhale into your belly, inhale up into your chest, inhale bigger than your body, and exhale in every direction.

As you repeatedly take these deep breaths, you’re activating these very energies of higher consciousness.

When you activate these energies in your body, you’ll find yourself naturally feeling that you are truly enough. You’ll find yourself leaning in and asking for what you need, rather than waiting for someone else to fulfill your dream for you. You’ll express what you think, rather than hesitating. You’ll have more courage to take the risk, rather than holding back.

There’s nothing that you are not, and you’re here to express and play in the beautiful delight of your wholeness.

Let’s celebrate that instead of ever questioning again if we’re enough!

“Treat yourself as if you already are enough. Walk as if you are enough. Eat as if you are enough. See, look, listen as if you are enough. Because it’s true.” – Geneen Roth

Thank you so much, I needed this. Coincidentally, my YOM Coach assignment is for me to claim that I am enough. The intention I set with my Miracles Group is, wait for it… I am enough! The universe is speaking loud and clear and I joyfully claim, I AM MORE THAN ENOUGH🙏❤️

Oh! your email came at a perfect time. My youngest son is struggling at the moment. You inspired me to send him a message along with your post.

My dearest son, we made it through your first challenge together. I remember my first thought rolling down the stairs “my baby, please protect my baby!”. I laid down on the basement floor until your dad came home and found a way to bring me to the hospital. The paramedic were on strike. He then call a taxi or a friend, and with the help of your dad and that person I hopped up the stairs. I was careful to use the strength of my right leg and my arms to not move my torso and maybe affect you in my belly. At the hospital they offered pain killer, I said no. They offered again before putting the cast on, I said no. There was no way I was going to take medication that might have affected you. Your heart was going so fast. My thoughts and intentions was to be calm so you would be calm too. You were born perfect, I was so grateful, so thankful. You were born perfect and are perfect. I’m privileged to be your mother. Je t’aime immensément mon fils. 💖💖💖💖💖

Thank you for this message today. It was something that was well needed. I had a tough day struggling to get my Dr.’s to assist me with attaining some of my prescriptions that I need to have renewed prior to going away on a vacation and if I don’t have the medications then my medical condition may overcome me and ruin my trip.

Absolutely: When I rise to the occasion and speak my truth, not only do I feel great about who I am, others appreciate my authentic soul, as well. Rising to our greatness inspires and motivates and even “gives permission” for others to do the same.

Your approach sounds good on paper, but I think it’s going to take more than deep breathing to change how we think about ourselves.

I’d like to meet all of these men that are so confident and so sure of their abilities and think that they are enough. Quite frankly, 90% of my friends are men, and I know that they all struggle and have struggled with that. I know that I do. This is not helpful. Period! Do you want to include men in this program or not!!

I made a comment, but it didn’t get published. So, I am writing another. As a man, this program is really starting to wear on me. I get that it’s for women, but you opened it up to men, also. It seems that quoting scientific studies that keep men in this place of projected arrogance or superiority isn’t really helpful. I am a man, and I have experienced much and most of what women have felt in the work place and in life in general. 90% of my friends are men, and I have a lot, and my experience is that the vast majority of my friends don’t fit into that studies’ findings. I guess they must be studying Harvard male undergrads. That ain’t me and never has been. Overall, this program starts to feel pretty invalidating as a guy. Which is fine. I probably won’t join again, but if you want to include men, you probably will want to change your approach. This miracle moment is a case in point.

For Chris- you are a part of all things and all things are a part of you.
In the great symphony of life, all notes are important to create the harmony of the whole. Whenever I feel I do not belong or “fit” anywhere,I go into nature. There is great teaching there and you are accepted as you are. Blessings on your journey.
